The 2005 Season

When I left Tignes at the end of last season, having spent 17 weeks in the mountains, I was thinking about how I could go back to the French Alps for another season. Plans were hatched to temp over the summer and work in the Alps over the winter. I even had a job lined up at the Football Association in Soho Square.

But by then I was skint, and wondering whether I could really live on the money temping and working in the Alps would bring in, and whether I'd have trouble carrying on my career in London on my return. Suddenly the decision was made easier when I was offered a job at the Royal Veterinary College in Camden which came with lots of leave. And, it turns out, a boss sympathetic to my passion for snowboarding.

So I've just packed away my gear having made three trips, totalling over seven weeks, back to Vallandry

This site contains a diary and pictures documenting my season. I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I've been up to. It's been another great experience, I've met lots of friends, old and new, and my snowboarding has come on leaps and bounds - literally!. Come back in a few weeks and hopefully I'll have some video clips to prove it!
