The 2006 Season Vallandry, Les Arcs |

Tim & Dave relax in their apartment They do say that the european ski seasons are getting shorter and it certainly is the case for me. After a full season in 2004, and almost eight weeks in 2005, it looks like I will have to settle for six or seven weeks this year. Not that I'm complaining! The traditional new year trip coincided with a big dump of snow and conditions were excellent for that time of year. I was too busy having a good time to even get my camera out, so no pictures or blog of that trip. Through January and February my alps angst was offset by a severe lack of snow. I had the option to come out and work a week in February but it didn't seem worth it, especially as I knew I would be here for the whole of March. My old mate Dave Greenman, who I met on my very first boarding trip in 1997, managed to get six weeks off work so we hatched a plan last year to spend four weeks sharing an apartment during March. I'm doing it in a bit more style than usual as we have a very nice two bedroom apartment in Castors, a new apartment block not far from the 74 lift, with some room for friends to join us. A change from the tiny bedrooms and four people per room I experienced with Planet Subzero (an expensive change, obviously!). This site contains a diary and pictures documenting our holiday. I hope you've enjoy it! Tim Miller - 16th March 2006
