The 2007 Season

Vallandry, Les Arcs & Val D'Isere

The 2007 season consisted of two trips out to the French Alps. In February I went to Vallandry for two weeks, working as a guide for Hucksters in the Hotel Mont Blanc. The media in the UK were full of stories of the worst snow conditions in memory, and it was a good job that I hadn't come out for new year as usual. But my arrival in Vallandry coincided with a huge dump and there was plenty of fresh snow in the first week. The second was unseasonably warm for February, with sunbathing on the Mont Blanc terrace and Tracker sporting shorts in a bid to bring on some snow!

I was back out in March for my usual four week holiday. The first week was a holiday in Val D'Isere with old boarding buddies Ben, Paul and Dave, his mate Steve, Rob and Simon. For the next three weeks Dave and I returned to Vallandry, as did the snow.
